Risen Beyond Charter
“Policies and Procedures”

Welcome to Risen Beyond!

RB is an Everquest 2 Raiding Guild of Befallen. The goal for this guild is to establish an enjoyable and quality raiding atmosphere while completing end-game raiding content, instanced and contested. Because roster is small and tight knit, our members tend to help each other accomplish their goals as players. Not only is a DKP system maintained for loot options, but also a NBG policy as efficiently as possible. Bidding is openly done, however if another member needs a piece of gear more than another wanting as backup, many members will pass on that gear to progress their less geared member and the guild.

Rule #1: Enjoy yourselves and have fun!

Rule #2: Attend as many scheduled raids as possible.

Rule #3: Be respectful toward your guild members.

Rule #4: Be respectful towards other guilds in public.

Rule #5: Members applying to another guild (of any server) while in Risen Beyond will be highly questioned upon. If said members are found doing this action they will first be talked to by a Guild Leader or Officer. Refusal to remove their application to the other guild will result in a dismissal of Risen Beyond immediately.

Rule #6: Members found to have a raiding character in another competitive raiding guild (of any server) will be asked to remove that character from the other said guild. If said member refuses to leave the other guild, they will be dimissed from Risen Beyond immediately.

Rule #7: If any member feels the need to leave the guild or is removed (for any reason), they will lose all of their DKP. A re-invite to Risen Beyond may be allowed depending on the circumstances, however DKP will not be returned and that member must start from zero and reapply the Applicant process. If any member has left or been dismissed from the guild a second time, it will take a unanimous vote by leaders to invite that member back into the Recruit process. If any member leaves or is dismissed a third time, they will not be allowed back. Members who are inactive for a period of 30 days will be dismissed from the guild (Guild Leader and Officer Discretion only).

Rule #8: Member Forums are for constructive posts. Flames of any sort will not be tolerated. Be respectful and considerate for other guild members and don’t let emotions fly (moderations may happen if a comment might be insinuating and promote hidden aggression). If as a member there is a problem with something that has happened on the forums, please bring it to the attention of a Guild Leader of Officer so that it may be addressed properly. When bringing a problem to our attention please be prepared with details so we may better work issues out and help everyone involved in a situation to understand it.

Rule #9: Issues involving anything guild related will be addressed in a proper manner. Public Ventrilo or Guild Chat is never the appropriate atmosphere unless called for at a Guild Meeting. Please bring it privately to a Guild Leader or Officer. Once said issue has been discussed and a good resolution is put into play, it will be dealt accordingly and closed in a mature manner. Drama will be at a minimal and should be handled in an ADULT manner. Continuous Violation of this policy will lead to possible removal of the guild.

Ranks and Attendance Policy

Leader: Serrah
Raid Officers: Minikacil
DKP Officer: Raiken

Leader and Officers

Description:
Being the ultimate sacrificial of the guild, these players are the most knowledgeable of the goals set forth for Risen Beyond. They are the best at leading by example and always strive to better the guild through themselves. Do not ever hesitate to ask for their help, for that is their job to motivate each and every one of us.

Their contribution meets and exceeds the whole guild and should never be argued before thought. Key word there is before people. Approach us reasonably, and we will certainly be reasonable in response. =)

Their rank is evaluated by everyone at all times, however final decisions are only made by the Guild Leader. Ideally 75% attendance policy will apply, however the position of Officer has an added level of work and stress that must be considered as well. Again decisions made outside attendance are evaluated by everyone but may only be finaled by the Guild Leader.

This Rank is evaluated at all times and based on 30 day attendance.

Members and Senior Members

Description:
Members and Senior Members are the core of what should be the most important aspect of any guild. Fully supporting the ladder, they provide a lift up for the Applicants and the floor beneath the Leadership.

Their contribution meets and exceeds the requirements for Applicants.

Every Member is expected to uphold a 75% or greater raid attendance in order to retain their high status. If failure to do so occurs, rank is dropped to Low Attendance status. All DKP events count towards this attendance.

For Members, ranks are done every 1st of the month and based on 30 day attendance.

Every Senior Member is expected to uphold a 90% or greater raid attendance in order to retain their higher status. If failure to do so occurs, rank is dropped to Member or Low Attendance status. All DKP events count towards this attendance.

An example of Senior Membership attainment can be:
First Month in Guild - 95% attendance
Second Month in Guild - 75% attendance
Third Month in Guild - 100% attendance
Total 90 days - 95+75+100 = 270/300 = 90% average - Congrats on Senior Membership!

Senior Membership Rewards:
1. +5 DKP bonuses each week
2. Full repair cost coverage every raid (Through Guild Bank 3)
3. Accesses to guild crafting and transmute resources (Through Guild Bank 3)
4. Automatic bid into raids if overbooked (Granted class setup is remotely well)
5. Viewing rights to bank 4 content
6. A forum and chat channel of their own only readable by Officers and Seniors
7. Recruiting rights available
8. Personal polls and advisory votes on new guild manners

During Senior Membership status reports will go out every month. They must uphold the requirements both before and during Senior Membership. This means a drop in activity aside from attendance can concern your position as a Senior. Other reasons for loss of Senior Membership can be abuse of Guild Bank 3 repair money, crafting/transmuting resources, excessive argument of raid setup/execution, wrongful recruiting and advisory, distribution of Senior forum/channel chat information, etc. Being a Senior Member requires some hard work but rightfully owns some hefty rewards that must be upheld with great responsibility.

*NOTE: Guild Leader makes all final decisions on manners regarding this position.*

Officers need to meet the attendance requirement to obtain bonuses #1, #2, #3, and #4. All else applies to the Officer position and therefore cannot be hindered by attendance alone.

*NOTE: Guild Leader makes all final decisions on manners regarding Officer Privileges beyond attendance.*

For Senior Members, ranks are done every 1st of the month and based on 90 day attendance.

Low Attendance Members

Description:
Low Attendance are those Members of whom failed to commit to the 75% attendance policy and fall between 50-74% raid attendance. All DKP events count towards this attendance.

With that said, Low Attendance Members have the potential of their class reopening to the public for recruitment. This will normally happen only when the Low Attendee has shown great lack of effort and participation for the guild and the game itself. There after if a new Applicant is brought in, Low Attendance Members have up to 30 days alongside its application process to hold a position within the guild. If the Applicant shows better attendance and contribution during its application process then either back up listing or dismissal from the guild may occur for the Low Attendance Member(s).

Sorry, we have to do what's best for the guild and its success for full time Members on raids.

Ranks are done the 1st of the month and based on 30 day attendance.

Applicants

Description:
They are 30 day applicants to the guild. At the end of each Applicant's 1 month period, the Leadership and Senior Members will vote him/her into membership based upon their overall contribution to the guild. Some examples to the contribution, in no particular order, would be:

Attitude
Composure
Desire
Helpfulness
Skills

3/4 vote must pass to obtain Membership.

During the proccess applicants must maintain at least a 75% raid attendance during their entire process to be considered for Membership. This requirement asks for a minimum of 3 raid nights per week. All DKP events count towards this attendance. In a raiding guild atmosphere if the goals set forward for the core Members cannot be met through application Risen Beyond cannot consider them a worthy full-time Member. It’s only fair to those whom have already made the effort!

Upon the ending of the 30 days, two actions may occur; the promotion into one of the member ranks or a declination out the guild. Decisions are determined by your overall contribution and attendance. Applicants will be notified their reasons ahead of time before any decisions are made.

*NOTE: Exceptions may be made on a player to player basis. Life gets the best of us sometimes. If circumstances provide, Applicants may be voted into Membership without fully obtaining the above stated requirements. This is a rare occasion, but it sometimes tends to happen to the best of us and only to the best of players.*

Ranks are done every 1st of the month and based on 30 day attendance.

Raiding Schedule and Form Up

Raiding is scheduled 4 times a week and all raid times are in Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Sunday: 8:30-midnight EST
Monday: OFF
Tuesday: 9:30-midnight EST
Wednesday: 9:30-midnight EST
Thursday: 9:30-midnight EST
Friday: OFF
Saturday: OFF

Credit for attendance is given when any DKP is earned for a raid; therefore leaving early or showing late may still earn attendance credit. However actions taken place may prevent a spot within raid or future raids and players may have to sit. DKP is still earned while sitting.

*NOTE: Constant attendance issues can result in uncreditted attendance and DKP.*

Ranks are done the 1st of every month and based on 30 day attendance.

Raids will always be posted ahead of time. With our website Calendar, raids will always be available to see 1 week in advance. With the in game and Vent MOTD, 2 day advancement on raids will always be available to see.

Form up takes place on Sinking Sand docks 30mins prior the scheduled raid time.

Please take advantage of this so setup can be done quickly and we can zone in on time. The later you arrive during form up, the greater possibility your spot may be filled and loss of the first half hour DKP may occur.

An example of our form up routine would be....

Tonight is a Tuesday and we are scheduled to raid 9:30-midnight EST. Form up will take place on Sinking Sand docks beginning at 9:00pm EST. Between 9:00-9:15pm the raid is formed and set. Portals then occur at 9:15pm. From 9:15-9:30pm EST the raid makes its way to the zone entrance together where we then zone in at 9:30pm EST.

If you miss the portals then you are responsible for making it to the zone in entrance on time. If you are late making up that lost portal priveledge, DKP will be docked for that half hour.

If you know you'll be home right around zone in time, please be responsible and camp your toon as close to the zone in entrance as possible. Portals are not our responsibility for last minute jump ins.

Just be on time and everything will be fine cool

DKP, Loot, and Plat Split

DKP may be earned by the following manners:

Raid: 1 DKP per 30mins – All raid instances.

Contested: 1 DKP per 30mins + 5 DKP for the kill – All contested.

Masters: 5 DKP per donation - Guild Bank 3

All Applicants earn an initial starting amount of 10 DKP.

A majority of the loot items will be bid by auction in guild chat (Parse channel for sitters on alts). Bidding starts when a link is placed and the DKP Leader calls the floor open for bidding. Players bidding, whether in raid or sitting, must be in Ventrilo as well for their bid to qualify.

Item Amounts start at the following minimum:

T8 Fabled – 10 DKP

T7 Fabled – 5 DKP

All Legendary – 2 DKP

*NOTE: Items bought with DKP or Masters distributed on raids may not be sold for personal wealth. Players caught doing so shall earn an issued warning on a first offense and immediate dismissal from the guild on a second offense.*

First bids from each Rank occur in a certain display.

Senior Members and Members = Mem
Low Attendance = Low
Applicants = App
Alt = Alt

An exmaple for each Rank shown in a bidding process (using a minimum bid) would be:

Bisected Rumble downed
Bisected Sabre drops

"DKP Leader says," [Bisected Saber] Bids start at 5
"Applicant Bob says" 5 - App
"Low Attendance Mary says" 5 - Low
"Guild Alt John says" 5 - Alt
"Member Sara says" 5 - Mem
"Senior Member Dan says" 5 - Mem

The player with the highest DKP bidding wins the item.

Order of Item Distribution:
Members and Senior Members
Low Attendance and Applicants
Guild Alt
Transmute

Risen Beyond has a monthly plat split:
Senior Members: 75% monthly share
Members: 25% monthly share
Low Attendance, Applicants, Alts: None

For example, the guild earns 500p this month; there are 10 Seniors and 15 Members to split amongst (Rest are Low Attendance/Applicants ). The split would be 500*.75 = 375/10 = 37.5p/Senior and 500*.25 = 125/15 = 8.3p/Member and 500*.0 = 0/Low Attendance and Applicant.

Ninja-AFKs will result in 1 DKP loss for each 30mins in which it occurs. Ninja-AFK means you are away from your keyboard without notice during a raid. Real life may not excuse DKP earnings during a Ninja-AFK. There are no exceptions to the game decisions made towards a player based upon this rule.

I’m sorry, no one wants it to happen, but the fact of the matter is we earn DKP in game…not in real life. We hope everything is ok though smile

Alts

Each Member is allowed 1 Guild Alt - Level 80 required.

Guild Alts are required to maintain zone availability on all scheduled raid targets for the week.

Guild Alts can be both a blessing and a curse. Let's do our best to maintain the good side of them. Their main role here is to temporarily fill class vacancies when the raid has a need. Let me repeat that....

Their main role here is to temporarily fill class vacancies when the raid has a need.

Now after saying that, take a step back and consider your Alts (granted you have any)....

- We are NOT required firsthand to get X quest update(s) for your Alt. Mains may need it firsthand and will be considered ahead.

- We are NOT required to let your Alt play on a raid because someone else's Alt was asked to fill a needed vacancy.

- Alts will be called forth IF and WHEN a NEED arises (emphasis on the word NEED). This may mean that X person with a Fury Alt (picking on Furies cause that's meeeeee) may be asked to bring said Fury Alt to the raid instead of their main. This may not always be the same person so to speak.

- Still keep in mind however the class of your Main is always considered before the class of your Alt.
Example: We have 3 Furies on raid and Fury 3 is asked to bring their Dirge Alt as there is no NEED for 3 Furies (rarely more than 1, but this is just an exampletongue ) and an obvious NEED for a Dirge. Now the lone Templar 1 in raid also has a Dirge Alt and is upset that they can't bring it because Fury 3 always gets asked to bring their Dirge Alt....sorry, not happening.

- Losing a NEEDED class to bring an Alt is out of the question.

- Losing an extra class to bring a NEEDED Alt may happen.

It all boils down to on the spot decisions towards the success of the raid. Alts are a priviledge to the guild, not a right. They are permitted mainly to fill spots of NEEDED classes when we have a shortage. All else is considered secondary and may not be considered firsthand over any Main.

Polls

Risen Beyond strives for close raiding relationships amongst its Members. We want to kill the mobs together =) In order to better provide this, polls on many different subjects and matters will be done to help understand what the guild wants and could improve or change upon. All Members must please take the time to put some thought and dedication in deciding their vote for the polls so that the best results may be analyzed from them.

Anonymous

There is no explanation needed for this, is there? Please remain /anon during all raid functions.

Guild Conduct and Dismissal

Dismissing players from the guild is on most occasions, very situational, however some can be done without question. As Members and Applicants should know by now, 75% raid attendance is of no argument to be given full time Membership here. This is a raiding guild and players must want to raid. 75% does not ask for your entire life (we aren't hardcore) and failure to commit to this policy during a 30 day Rank cycle will result in a potential filling of your class and/or guild dismissal.

Other smaller incidents will come with warning first. Repeatable incidents will result in the dismissal from the guild:

- Distributing guild raid strategies. Please keep the discussion amongst ourselves.
- Excessive tardiness or early leavings of raids without warning or prior notice.
- Inappropriate public language during a guild event. (E.I. Zone in gathering or Contested)

Make your best judgments and always keep the guild in mind. If you feel it will taint our name, please refrain from doing so.

And of course there are the Guild rules stated above. Any deliberate disregard of them will result in guild dismissal.

Website

We require that all Members and Applicants check the website DAILY. It is imperative that everyone keeps up to date with each others and what the news there is for the guild of that day.

Ventrilo

Ventrilo is required for every raid. Microphones are not required, but sound to hear your raid leader(s) is.
